Issue

Receiving a configuration error from the agent pop-up on a Windows machine.

• Agent error shows: Configuration Error

Environment

• Nightfall Windows Agent: All Versions

Cause

Administrator access was not used when deploying the MSI.

Resolution

Before deploying the MSI via Command Prompt, right-click CMD and select "Run as Administrator".

An elevated Command Prompt is required when running the MSI due to the permissions required when deploying the agent and extension.
